USES
The PC-Conrend® Plug is meticulously designed to address water seepage or moisture issues in concrete or masonry surfaces. Ideal for repairing stationary cracks and voids, this product is well-suited for various structures including foundations, tunnels, reservoirs, sewerage pipes, basements, and water tanks.
SURFACE PREPARATION
For a thorough cleaning process, ensure the meticulous removal of dust, dirt, and debris through scraping and brushing. Additionally, verify that surfaces are devoid of salts, oil, grease, and any irregularities. Safeguard neighboring areas that should not be affected. Eliminate any pooled water from the repair site. If the repair location is dry, moisten the substrate before the application of PC-Conrend® Plug.
APPLICATION
Prepare the PC-Conrend® Plug by mixing it with water in a ratio of about 3 parts PC-Conrend® Plug powder to 1 part water. Blend the mixture thoroughly until it forms a paste-like texture. It is advised to work with small portions that can be easily applied. While shaping the paste into a ball, wear thick gloves to protect against the heat generated. Apply the paste to securely seal the cut dovetail using a trowel or similar tool, exerting pressure for 1-2 minutes until the compound sets. In cases of high-pressure water infiltration, insert a plastic pipe at the leak point, encase it with the compound, let it solidify, remove the pipe, and seal the opening. Smooth the surface using appropriate tools before the compound completely hardens. Once water seepage is halted, promptly eliminate any excess sealing material. To maintain the seal’s moisture, lightly sprinkle water over it for 15-30 minutes, adjusting for the surrounding conditions. Avoid using the compound if it starts to solidify prematurely and refrain from adding water to restore workability once it has set.
