PC-Sealcoat® PU 110 is a polyurethane-based elastomeric coating recognized for its exceptional heat resistance. Upon application, this single-part system undergoes curing to create a robust, flexible, and water-resistant shield that displays superb adhesion to the substrate.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The surface must be structurally sound and free of contaminants such as oil, grease, dust, and other substances that may affect adhesion. To ready the surface, it is recommended to employ a rotary wire brush or conduct light grinding. For minor imperfections like small honeycombs and holes up to 5mm, these should be filled with cementitious mortar.
When applying PC-Sealcoat® PU 110 on aluminum sandwich panels or corrugated sheets, it is imperative to verify that all joints are firmly riveted and replace any corroded sheets as needed.

APPLICATION

To maintain consistent viscosity and homogeneity, it is essential to thoroughly stir the contents in the pail. The application of PC-Sealcoat® PU 110 can be accomplished using a soft-bristled brush, roller, or an airless spray. The initial undiluted coat should be applied at a rate of 1L/m²/coat to achieve a Dry Film Thickness of 0.75 mm. Subsequent coats should be applied only after the previous coat has cured, typically requiring approximately 8 hours at 30°C. The second coat should be applied perpendicular to the first, maintaining the same coverage rate to ensure a seamless coating on the substrate. For added durability, consider embedding a non-woven geo-textile membrane into the first coat at expansion joint areas and corners while it is still wet. This reinforcement enhances the strength of the coating. Allow the coating to cure fully, requiring 48 hours before it is suitable for traffic.

RECOMMENDED THICKNESS

two coats at a rate of 0.5 liters per square meter per coat.
For damp proofing, apply a primer coat followed by a single coat at a rate of 0.75 liters per square meter. Refer to our detailed method statement for guidance on applying the product in areas subjected to constant hydrostatic pressure.

To maintain the optimal open time of the coating, refrain from using PC-Sealcoat® PU 110 when the air temperature, substrate temperature, or material temperature surpasses 45°C. Delay application on exterior surfaces in the event of potential rainfall. Avoid applying over lightweight concrete or foam concrete substrates.
