PC-Sealcoat® PU 80 represents a premium two-component hybrid polyurethane coating renowned for its remarkable heat and water resistance. SURFACE PREPARATION

For proper adhesion, the surfaces must be clean and structurally sound. Remove any loose surface and level sharp edges and protrusions. Use industrial-grade detergents or degreasing compounds to remove oil, grease, and wax contaminants. Remove impurities on the surface by grinding, scarifying, and vacuum cleaning. For applying PC-Sealcoat® PU 80 on aluminum sandwich panels or corrugated sheets, ensure proper riveting of joints and replacement of rusted sheets.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTION

The application procedure for coating systems can vary depending on site conditions. Here are some general recommendations for applying PCSealcoat® PU 80.
Start by treating critical areas such as corners and pipe penetrations. Use a brush to apply the first coat of PCSealcoat® PU 80 around the pipe penetrations and on the corners, extending up to 200mm on each side. Strengthen with a fiber mesh or geotextile and then allow the first coat to dry before applying a second coat over it. Apply the first coat of PC-Sealcoat® PU 80 on the rest of the area with a brush or roller at 0.50 KG/Sq.M. Then embed reinforcement mesh and allow the first coat to dry.
Apply a second coat at 0.50 KG/Sq.M. perpendicular to the first coat.

RECOMMENDED THICKNESS

Proper Coating Application for Wet Areas, Damp Proofing, and Hydrostatic Pressure To ensure successful coating application in wet areas, we recommend applying a primer coat followed by two coatings. Each coating should be at 0.50 Kg/sq.m. In cases of damp proofing, we suggest a primer coat and a single coating, both at 0.50 Kg/sq.m. The application of PC-Sealcoat® PU 80 is not recommended if the temperature of the air, substrate, or material exceeds 45°C, as this may decrease the coating’s open time considerably. It’s not advisable to apply the coating to exterior surfaces when rainfall is expected soon. Furthermore, avoid applying the coating over light or foam concrete

It is recommended to store all materials in a cool, dry, and covered location, as exposure to freezing temperatures can render the material unsuitable for use. When stored correctly, PCSealcoat® PU 80 has a shelf life of at least 24 months.
